Tuesday Coffee Mornings in the Cabin

Every Tuesday morning between 10:30 am. and 12 noon you will find a good number of people sharing coffee, tea, biscuits and good conversation in the Cabin.

These mornings have been a real success as we all like an opportunity just to meet with friends. There is always a plate full of biscuits, a good number of friendly faces, and a lot of friendly chatter.

The Cabin is at the far end of the Alton Road car park.

Wednesday Lunchtime Bible Study

The Wednesday lunchtime Bible Study is a very warm and enjoyable time.

We gather in the minister’s office, accessed by the Alton Road car park door, at 12 noon and spend about an hour and fifteen minutes talking about the Bible and “setting the world to rights”.

We begin with a text and then jump in with whatever observations and/or questions that come to mind. The conversation is seldom dull! We often digress, but always come back to the text.

We occasionally disagree with one another but often there is the sound of laughter. We are sometimes a little confused but almost always there are some inspirational moments.

The Toddlers’ Group

On Wednesday afternoons there is a Toddlers Group in the hall, accessed by the Alton Road car park door, from 1:15pm to 2:45pm.

The afternoon is run by our Church Family Worker, Emma Pugh. Usually there are between seven and fifteen children along with their mothers/carers.

Toys, juice, biscuits and something hot for the adults is provided.

If you would like further information, please contact Emma Pugh.

Tuesday Morning Prayer Group

The Tuesday morning prayer group meets in the minister’s study at 9:30am.

It is open for everyone and there are usually about five of us who come with many different prayers of gratitude and petition.

We begin with some readings and afterwards we have some time for extempore prayer.

We always close with the Lord’s Prayer and we aim to finish by 10:00 am.

If you would like to join us, please come to the Alton Road car park door and ring the bell.

If you have any prayer concerns or thanksgivings that you would like us to lift to the Lord, please contact our minister, Blair Kirkby  and/ or click on the link.
